I was confused by this, too.
Faded cards means the player has a booking, but it is not in the relevant upcoming match. Check a players stats section to see in which tournaments he is carded.
Double yellow leads to 1 game suspension for same tournament; straight red card leads to 2. In stats, the (1) or (2) by the red card symbol indicates how many suspended matches remain. Cards remain with the player until end of season or suspension had been completed.

the bright yellow one is the one in next match (CL, CUP or league) that player will have yellow card carry on...which mean if next match (let say CL) if he get a yellow card again.... the following CL will be banned... the "faded" yellow card mean that player has a yellow card, but not on the next coming up match...so, that mean in the next coming match, even he get yellow (in this case, CL) he won't be banned in the following CL as this is the first yellow card in CL...
