Desert Rats FC Season 17 report.
League: After three defeats in the first 8 matches, and down in 7th place, things looked ominously bad for the Rats, but they won all but one of their remaining matches to win their 6th League Championship in a row. Patrick Tillmanns scored 7 goals in his last four matches to snatch the Golden Boot from the long-term leader on the last match of the season, and Charlie Howell was top assister in the League.
Champions League: After losing the first match in the Group, the Rats revived and won their remaining matches in the Group to top the table, before coming up against a mega-Quality side that had increased by 30% since the beginning of the season and exiting at the Round of 16 stage.
Cup: A steady progression to the Quarter-Finals was achieved before being drawn against another mega-Quality side.
Associations: The Association of which the Rats are a member managed four tournament wins out of four during the season, and achieved promotion to Gold 1 Division.
