I am starting to believe that there are game days when the engine just decides to screw stronger teams and then favor them the next day.
Yesterday:
My team 109% vs Opponent 72%. Result: 1-1
Strongest 2nd Team of the League (98%) vs Opponent (76%). Result: 0-2
Today
My Team 110% vs Opponent (97%). Result: 8-1
Strongest 2nd Team (99%) vs Opponent (89%). Result 7-2
These are absolutely laughable results. Yesterday's games should have been easy wins for both our teams and today's games should have been tough games, not crushing victories.

My friend who is 1st in my league got trolled today, I am second I am now 3 points behind him. And I am here to moan again about his result. In theory we should be happy but I am not, This Guy has a 96% squad and I have 92% one.
He played an 89% team and lost 1-2. At home, I feel bad because he had about 10 supporters, me included the manager showed up and he lost 1-2 to the 89% 5th placed Semi abandoned team that never shows up to matches, well he did but after I beat him 0-3 at the start of the season he stopped bothering.
So he worked so hard for a perfect season, he beat me on the sixth game and I told him well done and wished him the best of luck,
I say he was fuming because he won the Quadruple last season.
I have to play and I hope I win. But I do not want to win a league title which involves comprising another team’s result,

This game has good potential and I enjoy playing it but these results should stop occurring.

Only he knows if he was really trolled because the statistics do not indicate trolling here. Both team are close to the same quality and both had equal chances but your friend's team had higher ball possession partly because he had 10 supporters. Trolling would be when someone's team lost despite it had players in good morale, good condition, significantly higher quality and was set up in a good formation and orders, with the opposing team having poor management (no training, bad moral, inferior formation and so on) and much lower quality.Quote:

Thankfully we scored an away goal.
This was a bad result because their team was 83%
We will hopefully beat them in the second leg
I understand that 8% is not that much of a difference but I had much more possession, I hade twenty shots to their 8 and more on target.
Luckily this my first troll result of the season.
For some people here in the forum loosing is equal to troll, this takes credit from the objective of this thread ...

The first troll (I would say fixed) game of the season.
A classic scenario - all max + supporters + better quality (114% vs 98%) + absent opponent + the usual stats
+ an early injury of my key player (the right winger and 2nd scorer) + a connection loss near the break (couldn't make the sub to prevent the 2nd yellow card)
+ it was 1 game before my unbeaten streak record :rolleyes:

It is one thing to lose a league or competition to a worthy opponent who is managing his team and you know you are facing a tight game. It is quite another to risk losing a trophy because troll results have cost you 6 points already this season (3 troll against teams that were 30% weaker).
This isn't supposed to be a game of coin flips.
Also, before someone comes and starts trying to grab at straw to explain the result by a mean other than just luck, I played this team the first time (same tactics on both sides) and won 7-1. Also, in today's game, his 4 star GK magically got a 9.0 rating.
If anything, some games are simply fixed.

For 10-20% of the games, it is nothing but luck. Tactics, quality, presence, bonuses... they means absolutely nothing.
Winning trophies isn't about playing well anymore, it is about hoping you don't get trolled during the wrong game or that you get trolled more than the next best competitor.

I used play and win all the games I expected I would win and then battle it out with the tough opponents. I remember a couple of leagues where there were tough battles against tough players. In one league, for example, we were three of us and the table basically ended with me drawing the 2nd team twice and then winning twice against the 3rd team, whereas the 2nd team lost one game against the third team. All 3 teams were tough (within 10% of each other) and we didn't have troll results ruining the competition. I did not lose a second game in that league and the second team lost 1. Since the teams were so comparable, I would not have resented a loss of 1-0 or something. Our players played well and results felt accurate. We would crush teams that were 50% weaker and teams that were 20% weaker would fall 2-0 or 3-0. Now, roll a D20 and on a 1-3, you flip a coin to see who wins.

There is nothing you can do when the game makes you lose. Sorry you were cheated out of a trophy. Yes, low morale was the key point. However, I believe that a parallel between top eleven and reality cannot be drawn. In reality, all teams are managed and the difference between teams is not as significant, making each game a relatively tough battle. Here, half the teams aren't managed and in the league, many teams are 40% weaker.
If anything, in reality, you play against most opponents and the scores range from 3-0 for a solid victory to 5-0 for a landslide. In top eleven, play a team and win 9-0 only to then tie them in 2 days.
What I can tell you is that preparation and complacency have nothing to do with losing in the game. I used to check the counter formation web pages every time I played a game. I would attend every game (about 95% of the games) and train my team all the time. I watched the 25 videos to get greens. I literally did everything. Yet, still lost when the match engine said it was my time. When you talk about complacency, it is as if you have control to do something but that isn't a troll. A troll is the engine cheating to make the stronger team lose because of an algorithm.
Just lost myself. I don't want to say it was a troll but I lost my striker at the 2nd minute... uhuh.... Straight red.
I guess it is somewhat better than losing to a team 30% weaker.
