Played against a team 3% stronger than me and won 3-0. Played the same team 2 days later, he had received a red in the first match so I was 3% stronger and I lost 3-2. Same tactics, same players. Game is random. Assistant says: "It just wasn't meant to be". Same old nonsense.
Take away: You victories mean nothing, except that you got lucky at the right time or paid to win (i.e. bought token players that allow you to be significantly stronger than the opposition).
Thanks McClean for summing up the game breaking issue Top Eleven currently has. Randomness can add spice, but add too much and anything you accomplish becomes meaningless. When you said "I myself, I lost more in terms of trophies when I was playing very seriously and also putting in significant amounts of money, but I won many trophies when playing on and off and not putting in money.", I think the reason for this is that when you restart, your team is rubbish and the new players you buy are significantly stronger than the competition. In the team I casually manage, I have never encountered a team above 86%, in large part because at the start of the season, this team is usually somewhere in the 50% quality.
