Before we start, here's some questions for you:


What have you learned from last season? i am a bad manager my players must hate me as they excel when im not at the ground
Where did you place last season?
finished second in the league. won the CL.
Are you participating in the new Association's Cup ? yes gold div 2
What are your achievements ? in t11 - won 2 trebles lots of trophies never finished outside top 2 and i dont buy tokens so am always having to beat stronger teams.

What's your current level? 14
What's your budget for this season? 500 million
Who do you want to replace? depends - i never buy players until i see the strength of the league. i have only bought 2 first team players in the past 2 seasons ive been hoarding tokens for a big assault on the title. but i may just try and get by again and hoard more.
What are your goals for this season? a trophy. ideally the league but ill take any.

What's your training level? 90
Which will be your main formation? 3-1-4-1-1 but thinking of using 3 DC dml dmr 3 mc 1 am 1 st as a new formation. 4-1-4-1 and 4-4-1-1 i also use sometimes

They have penalised a bit teams with automatic roster of 32-34 yo players

In their lineup there are always 3 gk out of 14 players

Managers who just have one tactic they play against any kind of oppo still win. I find this a bit frustrating

Both teams safely progressed to the next round of the Cup

Home Guard FC played against a -47%Q team, and recorded a 12-0 aggregate win. The away match yesterday was a 3-0 win, Hill, Morel and Wardell the scorers, and today the team sported a few second-choice players in the starting XI and took their visitors apart 9-0. Christian Okunorobo celebrated his return to fitness after his injury on the last day of last season with 4 goals, Ellis Wardell netted a hat-trick, and Stephane Humbert and Florin Sbarnea got the other two goals.

Desert Rats had a more difficult task, playing a +1 Level team and matching their opponents Quality in starting XI. Congratulations to those who had right-sided defender Ever Devaca in the sweepstake for the first goal of the new season, he surged through the middle of the visitors defence to put the Rats 1-0 up in the 13th minute of the 1st Leg match at home yesterday. More regular scorers Eros Martorelli and Stefan Vucomanovic added two in three minutes just after the break, and things looked rosy until the visitors sneaked a consolation goal 5 minutes from time and the match ended 3-1. Today Desert Rats were hit in the 1st minute of the away 2nd Leg, and when the opposition levelled the aggregate score with the first half-hour almost up, it looked like the Rats were going to drift out of the Cup on away goals. Stefan Vucomanovic woke up on the stroke of half time and pulled a goal back, but the tie was only really declared safe when substitute Patrick Tillmanns scored the match equaliser 4 minutes from the final whistle, the match ending 2-2 and Desert Rats qualifying for the next Round 5-3 on aggregate.

Both teams went shopping this afternoon, Home Guard picking up a tri-position defensive midfielder from the Scout list and a right-back from the TM, and Desert Rats raiding the TM for a tri-position defensive midfielder of their own and taking a left-back off the Scout list.



Home Guard released Milos Jovanovic and Jeffrey Knubben; and Desert Rats have sold on Moritz Maiwald, Madalin Vlasiu, Shaun Ruel and Michel Dilo.

Champions league is going to be tough again this season. Again a victim of a good result so I am up against teams from a level higher. So the game starts, I blink with my eyes and it is 0-1. Huh, what happened? Darn. That sucks. One of the fastest goals I have ever seen. His AMC starts to dribble. He feels a light hand on his shoulder and he falls theatrically in the penalty box. Referee, SCHWALBE!!!! Give the man yellow. What did you say? My player fouled him? He is getting a yellow card? But that is a penalty. Come on ref!!!! Where is the video replay if you need it.

His defender takes up the ball, he shoots, he scores!!! Crap, 0-2. Am I that bad? Lets check the stats. I have 12 shots with 4 at target, no goals. He has....... 5 shots with 2 at target. Arghhh. It can't get any worse, right? RIGHT? Next shot, GOAL!!!!! Ok, that is 3 out of 3. That really sucks....... Finally my seven star striker does something good. He shakes of 2 defenders and surprises the goalie and he scores 1-3.

I thought the domination losses were over. I dominate every single aspect of the game except shot efficiency. 17% vs 75%. I got a lesson in efficiency. Lets hope I am not getting these kind of results again this season. Crosses his fingers.
