This is my CL final for main team today.
I was playing 451V vs opponent who was changing between 451V and 4321.
Went behind to an early goal.
Made the sub around min 60....one of dc goes out...added an amc...went 3w-1-2-3-1
Immediate impact!!
Sub scored the equalizer......non-stop pressure till the end to score the winner....scored a late Fergie time winner

So yes, tactic still matter!!

In my CL final I will start on 451V, flanks, low pressure, zonal marking, mixed pass (trying to be neutral). Then I will wait the first statistics to decide for High Pressure or Man-to-man Marking and Short or Long pass. This is my "plan A"
And if the things aren't going alright, my plan B is to switch AML AMR to double AMC and play through the middle. I hope you are right and the changes affects the match. I'm sceptical about it because I've done this kind of changes in most of my matches this season and I didn't feel like something was changed :/

After update I think 4-2-3-1 and 3-1-2-3-1 are a bit op....

I'll use the 433 pep guardiola 'false nine' formation with aml and amr. The plan is to attack through the middle and blow the opponent away with my massive attack!

I had similar ruined treble v cup final weaker opponent. Simply I think it was bad dice roll pre game rather than anything I did wrong.

A lot has obviously changed as regards tactics with the new fluid formation settings. We need to unlearn all that we know and delete the table of counter formations thread. However tactics still work we just have to figure them out.

At old times I was playing vs an oppo who was using 4D-ML-MC-MR-AMC-2ST.
I thought that 4-4-2 nd was a good counter.
During the game, one of his DCs got a red so it was my AMC +2ST vs one DC (who was 1* weaker).
But he managed to eliminate my attackers.
Oppo manager wasn't present.

Simply I think it was bad dice roll pre game rather than anything I did wrong.

that was always a TE element.

ive felt a significant change on the tactics roles after the atualization in a better way. Sometimes only the fluid positioning make possible to change the game course without any subs, so for me, the tactics work "ok". But..... sometimes i make changes to keep the ball possession and hold the result, and i realize that was the worst decision made

yes tactics matter. In my opinion you should have played 4141

This season, my opposition has been too weak for me conclude about the tactical aspect of the game. And then, arrives the CL final: first "serious" oppo of the season. He is -25% compared to me: I have never lost with this quality advantage in 39 seasons except a couple of trolls in league more than one year ago.

Tactics still mater ! But if you play the last month against only - 25 % or more , i think the manager felt asleep and this is what can happen ... especially in final which run on a neutral stadium .
