creating new role for players is it worth the effort?

I usually do it after I have trained their base stats for quit a bit, this is for new signings. I usually don't assign a new position for them to train up to till at least after like 10 training sessions. But I do think it is worth it. I train them to become familiar in positions I imagine them being in during a match. For example, my AMLs and AMRs I usually train them to be AMC and ML/MR depending on where they are since I can imagine points in the game where they will need to operate or fall back into these positions. With my AMCs I train them to be ST and MC for similiar reasons. DCs are trained to be DL/DRs and my DMC is usually trained to be MC and AMC since I want him to be comfortable in all midfield positions and help with attack when the pressure is being put on the opponent.I think it's worth it, but I don't do it out the gate- not every player is meant for this. Watch how often their base stats raise, if it is not very often you can expect the same progress when trying to teach them another skill or a new position. But I usually work with younger players so I end up having 22/23 yos with 3 position masteries. Maybe I'm overthinking but my team is always solid in attack and defense and I believe this strategy has something to do with it.
