I haven't seen such a fierce battle for a youngster, thank God I didn't join in... that's just too much.
So i needed to buy a backup DL and i wanted someone good and young so i have the option of replacing my starting DL after a season or so. It took me at least 3 hours online checking every now and then to see if there were DLs and if they were young and of a certain value at least. I was willing to get a 4 star and train him up as well. But i had to wait sooooo long. I had to give up quite a few cos i didnt wanna pay too many tokens as well.
But finally, i have a player to cover injuries and cards for all positions i use. Team is all set now, just gotta train!

A WTF? moment or two for Nouvion FC, a red card in each of the first two matches against a -39%Q opponent. The Management hopes Nordeus has got that out of its system now and leaves his players alone for a while...

Only 2 teams from last season were together with me. One similar quality, the other higher
For the first time , my team is not among the strongest on paper.
Think my team is somewhere in the middle pack.
There were about 5 tanker teams and a few +1 Level teams
So if I attained top 4 position - that will be a achievement
Thanks for the info. You guys actually have to buy the players in order to check if they are fast trainers. Looks like its much tougher at higher levels. My faster training players are now around 85 to 95 million for 18 year olds. Looks like i will be affected in the next 5 to 10 seasons :(
I had that kind of draw last season as well. Its like the game engine gives us a tougher draw every 3 to 5 seasons! This season is back to normal for me and i do nothing differently. 2nd best team is 10 percent below my quality so expecting an easy league this time around. Cup and CL look better than last season. All in all, it's gonna be a less stressful season for me :)
I actually think you are lucky. Get them now when its painless rather than later in the season where it really matters. Now i am assuming **** happens only once, keep us posted in you have further reds. 2 reds in 2 cup rounds is already really extreme. I go through most seasons without even 1 red.

I am developing a new theory of $10m. Add $10m to the value of the most expensive scout in your scout list and the result falls into the value range of 18yr old fast trainers.
Since my teams are in lower levels 9 - 11, it corresponds very well.
I don't know if you Kaskada can check and confirm if my theory is applicable in higher levels.
The two reds are an unusual occurrence for me, too. I went for a long run where I didn't get a straight red at all in any season, and only one or two double yellows. In the past couple of seasons I've got two straight reds and a blizzard of yellows for my midfield players (MC or DMC), whichever ones are there, so it seems the match engine is targetting the position, not the individual player...
Yup, i noticed my ball winning positions getting more yellows in recent seasons too. But with 2 reds in 2 cup matches, conspiracy theories come to mind. Haha cant help it. What Nebu mentioned i have also experienced. In one season, i had a DMC that got 2 reds. But his next season was back to normal, a few yellows but no reds.
The 'high Quality difference match score throttle' worked in the 2nd Leg for the Cup tanker... :)

Aggression isn't a white skill for MCs so whatever training regime you give them it will be depreciated over time. My MCs don't have particularly high aggression % compared to those players who have it as a white skill and are higher than the MCs and don't get yellows/reds on any level of the frequency of those unforunate MCs.
I try to attend all my matches, and when players get yellow cards I leave them on the pitch for a while. If they foul again but get a referee lecture or other let off then I'll sub them off. Occasionally they'll get a quick second yellow and thus red, but it's a small risk and you can't really do anything about that. After about 20 minutes or so I'll sub the yellow card holder anyway, and it's amazing the number of times that later in the match the substitute that has come on will also get a yellow card...
Nouvion FC have just picked up a cheap spare MC from the Transfer Market as cover for the midfield positions. There are two players suspended for the next Cup match the 2nd best MC and a lower-Q DC who has already got a higher-Q replacement on the books but would have made a very useful bench player. In the League match this morning the red-carded MC got injured for 4 days so the MC hazard is getting bigger...
If you are saying that aggression is not a reason for red or yellow cards. I beg to differ, give the game some credit, T11 is actually run by a high calculator (computer), even the amount of luck you get or suffer from is calculated by a luck percentage attached to a player shown to us as variables in percentiles.
They are like 129.1 M, 129.2 M and so on. But the decimal goes up by 1 every 2 to 3 levels... So you can kind of sort by value on the transfer list to get an idea, but yes you need to buy the player and test him. That's why I only buy 3-4 star players for 1-2 Token and all players in my team are trained...
I'm saying it's not the ONLY reason for the yellow cards. I believe there is a causal relationship between the field position and the occurrence of the yellow and red cards that are being incurred, as the cards appear no matter which player is occupying the position. I once swapped the two MCs over a half time of a match, one of whom had got a yellow card in the first half. The player without the yellow card got one in the second half. I would need to do this a few more times to get a meaningful statistic, but the number of time that a substitute player has got a yellow card that would have got the original player a red card is telling...
My other point still stands though. I have players with higher (much in some cases) aggression % than my MCs and they don't receive anything like the number of yellow cards that the MCs do. If I looked properly at my match statistics I would say that the MCs get at least as many yellow/red cards as the rest of the side put together.

@MNK , can you give us a snapshot of your scout list. Not a scout you bought. Just open your scout market and do a screenshot, so we can compare their prices with these youngsters.

Thanks Rxckss, my theory is to add $10m to that $126m = $136m. So I guess that fast trainers in your level will fall within $135/7m value range.
In other words, 18 yr olds valued at $126m - $134 will not train as fast as $135/7. This is important because I have noticed that there are lots of 18 yr olds from $126 -134 ranges, compared to the real fast trainers which are very few.
Understanding the price can help you choose rightly.

From ny phone, so I had to open player picture, highest valued 3 and lowest valued player. They are all 130 milions and it's like that for a year or two. The two matches a day started, and both sides recorded two wins apiece. Desert Rats FC had a good start in the Champions League against a fairly equal % team, and then notched up a nice win against a lower-Q side, but lost their left-winger to a 4-day injury..

Nouvion FC also had an injury, it's been an eventful first few days of the season for MC Chris Mann, sent off in the first Cup match and now crocked in the first League match. After grubbing around for a while, the Management managed to pick up a 1T backup MC in the Transfer Market, and he was drafted into the starting XI for the Champions League match. He immediately made an impact, providing the assist for the 3rd minute opening goal...

So this means from lvls 36 - 40 most players have the same values, that explains why you have to buy first and train before you can identify a fast trainer.
Do you think it's a bug? Because I don't think that's fair.
