Mutant players might be less effective but balanced white skill players are better than scouts, imo.
I have noticed some SA's work less effective if key attribute is below "a soft cap" which I find being around 150% and the higher the attribute is, the more consistent they succeed

I would not disagree but I would not fully agree either, because how could some defenders or defensive midfielders performed well at taking free-kicks when they had the free-kick special ability but not high values in shooting? The same can be said for the case of corner for example a DC with performing well at taking corners despite having relatively poor passing and crossing skills. Special abilities may be related to some hidden attributes too, and the best set-piece taker hidden attribute may have been assigned to specific players of a team. I felt the effect of mutants more in association matches whereby some scores get very high and unrealistic.

My team came out third for the first step. 7 wins out of 7, but I sneaked and snatched the 3rd place with a last minutes challenge against the third placed team itself (something that I am not too proud of, but given the situation and the fact that I was third some hours ago but this team challenged my team twice and won on the second attempt throwing my team a place down, it is not that dirty, but I found it funny after I claimed back 3rd place this way). The tanker came out first, and I did not challenge his team. Had I to challenge the top two teams, I would have had to spend tokens because I could only use 7 free challenges. So, 1 cup more and I have the emblem. I am satisfied with the performance.

Game is completely scripted. I'm on 7 Trophy's and now all of a sudden can not buy a win, I've lost my last 5 straight, 4 on penalties, to different opponents. three coming from behind late. One of them came back from 4-0. Three of them got a penalty during the game (I use normal tackling). And their equalizers always come right at the end.

The amount of simple chances my team miss is extraordinary. In the last three seasons one of my players has scored 256 goals and 148 assists in three seasons can't hit a barn door since this round started, before this round he was playing fine. The opposition isn't harder here than outside this comp, the game is clearly pre-decided.

Anyone noticed that substitutions are being done late or not at all until another change is made and saved? I noticed this even in the event matches since this weekend.

Something is fishy for sure this weekend. I noticed that the game engine behaved differently for event matches and for associations. It seems like as if the engine in on resources-saving mode and did most of the calculations for the outcome of the match in a more simplified way.

Associations are properly scripted with a lot of pre defined results, the amount of times the first legs result in 9-9 is crazy....

Way back, before I quit the game, whereby I had my own association, I concluded that, during a period, the results were already determined before the start of the live match. My opponent could be banging his head and making so many ajustments and changes during live matches while I could sit back and watch the match doing nothing much as a manager, and the same was when I was on the losing side, where the opponent could just watch me banging my head against the wall doing changes. The live match simulation showed the changes and even the effects but the final result did not change, and goals would come just out of nowhere even if required so that the final result goes according to what was already decided before the match. Fast forward to some years, which is now, it seems this bad part is still there in the game, but it comes and go (activate and disactivate) acccording to only Nordeus know what. I suspect that they switch the game or part of this game to this mode at times to reduce resource consumption and reduce the risk of break downs or other issues when they feel it is required, because it cannot be that on one day the game behaves more properly and another day, it seems like you have no control or influence on the match, unless of course if all this is just determined randomly which could be one of the only other explaination or maybe there are bugs and flaws that caused such things. I cannot say for what is the cause, but clearly something is wrong. All we can do is keep positing our feedbacks, hoping that something will be done and there will positive changes.

I am 9 trophies behind the leader right now, I keep losing to all the weaker teams.

I will just play the matches for fun now, and let my worst Ever performance in this competition end my title defence of the king of the hill challenges is being torn to shreds, I won’t be a back to back champion.
