Today again draw, they did something to game engine for sure. Tommorow we are starting new event, I wonder how that shall go. Should I change my formation to defensive now or should I still play attacking style.

From experience, going defensive and counter has a far higher chance to progress through in events when matches are against NPCs.

This is a vs real manager event, so it all depends on the opponent’s tactics. As always when it is a single-tie match like a final, it may be better to keep it a tight game at 0-0 within the first 20-30 minutes and work out how to counter opponent’s orders accordingly afterwards than going gung-ho and need to chase a 2-3 goals deficit by conceding early. That probably applies even more for managers who have GK and attacking players with PK specialist when drawing is nearly as good as winning.

I don't know if this sounds right to you but might be related to what you are experiencing.

I expect more troll results when event starts. Whenever my opponents become active and improve their teams, the chances of getting trolled goes up. And this always happens during events as dead accounts get revived for collectibles.

I usually start off attacking then switch to normal then eventually defensive if i get that far. But not sure if you changing orders will help beat the troll as i think it is related to the engine giving our suddenly active opponents a chance.
