As mentioned by our fellow manager July, the number 4 seems to be a lucky charm for young and talented managers playing their CL final tonight. As matter of facts, New Team lifts the 4th consecutive CL in the last 4 seasons, keeping their 100% rate (4 partecipations, 4 victories).
Regarding the match, we weren't wrong at all into feeling the troll. Despite the statistic shown, Christophe FC NEVER had a single occasion for 90'. It was an endless pressing and grinding for the goal from New Team which almost brang frustration to the Manager. In the first half Stark and Hutton got alone with the keeper 3 times each and every time it went wide. Our POOR 8 shoots / 1 on target half time stats were evident. We moved Stark on the left, and brang in Schneider, moving from 3-1-4-2 to 3-5-2 V which increased even more our possession and pressure without results. When even C.Kent wasn't able to score from two free kicks after having a 90% score ratio there for a whole season, we were ready to receive the troll. But when Schneider got throught the defence and went for the keeper, we had some hope up: his shoot went wide, ofc. Minutes later he was there again offering the ball to Hutton alone with the keeper, and the 1VS1 specialist got us...a corner kick. Just when we were ready to toss away the computer, from the corner kick Kent cut inside and headed in the 0-1 which, despite many other occasions, didn't flinch one bit.
