don't bother with special abilities. 50 skill points is worth 3.3 in player quality. Would you rather your player have 30 shooting ability or be a fk specialist with 20 shooting ability? Use the player with best finishing ability to take pens, best shooting ability for fks, best crosser for corners. I score over 20 goals a season from fks and corners. I've had specialists but I wouldn't go out of my way to get one. As for which young players train fast, rule of thumb for super fast trainers(age 18) is 2 million+ for 20 player quality and add 1.5 million for every 5 pts in player quality - viz. 3.5m for 25, 5m for 30.....

In my opinion you need to search for 18y old players with this market value:
- 24 quality: 3,45 million
- 29 quality: 4,34 million
- 34 quality: 6,1 million
- 39 quality: 8,5 million
- 44 quality: 11,5 million
These will be the fastest trainers you can find on the market.

That's correct, higher transfer valued player is better in training.
