Opponent is 2 points stronger than me. I lost the first match 0-1 at home. I used 4-5-1 V (with red arrow on DC/DR/DMC, attacking, whole pitch, mixed passing, hard tackling). Note: i had 79% possession!!!

Next match away - and need to win by 1+ goals

    He uses 3W-5-2 Flat:
    ... ST ... ST ...
    ... ... ... ... ...
    ML MC MC MC MR
    ... ... ... ... ...
    DL ... DC ... DR

Please suggest what counter to use?

    4-5-1 V-Style:

    ... ... ST ... ...
    AML .. .. .. AMR
    ... MC .. MC ...
    ... .. DMC .. ...
    DR .DC. .DC. DL

He's defensively weak, so find his even weaker spot (or your strongest), and attack through there..

Why isn't 5-2-2(AML/AMR)-1 formation on the list?
(It's like normal V-Style but where the DMC becames DC too)

I'm raging because I usually play a 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond I bought an AML for the first time in 3 seasons and got all giddy an swapped to a 4-2-2W-2 and got mullered from a 3-2-3W-2, my old formation is a good counter for this dammit!! swapping back and sacking the AML!!! (who subsequently got injured in said match grrrr)

After playing through one season (and a few days of a second season) with essentially the same formation (and much success; 2nd in league first season, currently 2nd now, and won the Cup my first year), I've decided to change it up a bit. The team I play next in league is playing a 5-3N-2 formation. Instead of my 4-1-3-1-1 (or 4-1-3-2), I've changed to a 3-2-2W-1-2. With the opponent utilizing 5 defenders and 3 MCs, I will likely need the extra numbers forward to score goals. I'll be expecting a rather large margin of victory, as my average quality is 21.5* compared to his 13.8*.

On a side note, is there any way to set a "default" formation? A way to easily revert back to my 4-1-3-1-1 lineup?

Well, I can't say that the lineup change truly worked. Won by a score of 3-0 . . . OF COURSE I also came away with TWO MORE INJURIES!!! That now gives me a total of FIVE players currently injured. WTF

    Stupid Question.

The counter for 3N-5-2 Flat is 3N-2-2-2-1 Butterfly and 4-3-2(AML/AMR)-1? So should I assume you assume I know that 4-3-2W-1 is actually 4-3N-2W-1, or maybe you mean 4-3W-2W-1, or it that a stupid question?
