hmmm am i blind or cant we find a 3W-1-1-3W-2 in the table ? its basicly a 3-5-2 but with very heavy offensive setting .. wonder if countering this setting is different
Good night. How can i defeat the 41212nd this season? I´ve tried 3 times and always draw but dominate the stats.. Tried 451v and 352v and can´t win! always against weak teams. What is your opinion! thanks

So to confirm, that's a flat back 4, 2 DMC and no midfielders. Instead he is playing 3 attacking midfielders and one up front.
It was clear this was going to be a counter attacking formation so I was cautios, played 4-5-1 diamond with force counter attack but having taken the lead he beat me 2-1. 2nd leg in champions league semi final is tomorrow with me away from home.
FYI I have the better team. Was thinking of flooding the midfield, something like 4-5-1 or even 4-3-1-2 but wary of not having a DMC. Any thoughts?
With 3N I would think you need more than 1 striker. You could try the attacking 4-4-2 with the two wide players AML/AMR instead of ML/MR. That way you will have the two strikers to trouble the 3 DC and the width. My concern with this is the DMC could have an upward arrow which could leave you overrun in midfield on attacks as it would make it 3MC. I suspect his ML/MR have up arrows too so his attacking formation will look more like 3-3-2AML/AMR-2.Quote:

Just won 1-2 away without watching with a 4-2dmc-1mc-2amc-1 Formation(looking like a cross) His formation was 4-4-2 classic ;)
if that was 3n-1-1-4-1 then thanks it worked
I had my last competition match today against 3n-5-2. Started the match with butterfly (as the table suggested) , normal mentality, through the flanks, zonal marking, mixed passing, no offside trap and no force counter. Had red arrows on DL, DR, AML and AMR. After the first half it was 2-1 for the opponent. So I changed it to 4-5-1 V, again arrows on DL, DR, AML, AMR. Changed normal mentality to attacking and the rest the same. Played the opponent away and he got no chances to score since i changed it. Won 5-2. So if you play against 3n-5-2, I would suggest 4-5-1V!
