I countered in my semi chl a stronger opponent using 4-5-1v.

    I went with 4-2DMC-1-2AMw-ST.

Both matches too close with few goals.
    First I won 1-0, second was a draw 1-1.

I was scared because he was stronger.
If I was at same quality I would use 4-5-1v as well. Fire with fire.

Normal-flanks-short (with mixed in one game I had low %, you can startvwith short and change it in 2nd half)-counters on.
    High-normal-zonal-offside off.

I won away leg with equal quality team using 43w12, but I don't remember orders well since it's not a formation I usually use (had a draw using 4411 in home leg). I think I would have used normal/attacking, mixed/mixed,counter attack on, high, hard?, No Off side trap, zonal. Other manager was absent, and I had full bonus, superb condition, no fans.

    Good luck.
    Thnx. Will study this

Expect a close game. If you are watching, you can manage depending on how the game develops. Some luck will be needed.

    Good luck!

To be honest, I did think of that. I am a fraction better I think, really invested a lot this season.
    Study your suggestion too. Thnx

    Hi, guys!
Tomorrow i play versus 3-4-3 team and he is on my level.. my tactic is 4-4-2 but i am wondering if these orders will be good: attacking mentality, mixed passing, man-to-man marking, forced counterattacks and offsides.. high pressure. Thank you!
Also my moral is at max and the bonus is at its max

4-2MC-3w-1 my oppo, playing attacking style I think.

Tried with 4-5-1v, game was close but he had many shots.
At some point my assistant told me that it is better to play from the middle as flank passes are getting intercepted.

So I consider playing 4-4-2nd next leg, it is a system that I never use but it may suits now.
    Any thoughts/advice?

    It worked fine.
So 4-4-2nd is a good counter for 4-2MC-3w-1.

I verify that 4-4-2nd is a very good counter against 3N-4-1-2.

I tried with same players and same oppo with 4-5-1v as well and it did not work well.

4-4-2nd ruined the guy easily (4-0 no free kicks/corners all normal attacking goals)... same quality

    hi

    what do you think of the tactic 4(DL,DC,DC,DR) - 2(MC,MC) - 3(AML,AMC,AMR) - 1(ST) ?

In your opinion what is the counterformation and against what is effective?
