Any universal formations in league, when my opponent average quality on 5-7 stars stronger then me?

I'll try:
4-4-2 classic & diamond narrow (normal and defence mentality) - not worked.
4-5-1 V-style (defence mentality) - not worked. (3 seasons to promoted to the higher league).
