Formations after UPDATE

Hey! After the new formation screen update, mostly all the tactics / formations system has been changed. ( Update messed it all up, with full of bugs ).
I just wondered if you guys have found any formation, which is working well or you still stick with the old ones. ( 4-5-1 V style, 4-1-2-1-2, 4-4-2 etc ) I also know, that there is no perfect tactic and I'm not looking to find it out also

Balanced formations like 4-4-2 , 4-2-3-1 are good to use imo.

I know that it has been too short time to figure out how the system works, but I just wondered, if anyone else has some tips or tricks about the new formations update.

Do you prefer to play with 3 defenders or 4 ?
AML/AMR are Must Needed in team, as they score the most. ( So formation need to include AML/AMR )

As I have played many matches, counter formations don't work as same as they did before the update...

People say 3w-dmc-* formations are doing great, I haven't tested them so far, but I'm going to.
Ol' good 4-5-1V still works fine for me, a lot of possession and high average Passing skill let me play with long passes and force c-attacks in most of matches.
4-3w-3w (AML-ST-AMR in attack) is really good against 4-4-2 for me. I have MC/ML and MC/MR, and in this case I put them on flanks, but close to MC zone. In V-style they are in the middle, but close to flanks.
I don't think I will ever have MCs without ML and MR again =] They are so good.

I am confused by the position of 4 defenders. Do you put them in a line or put the wingers a little forward? Must i put dc behind my opponent's st? I have lost 4 games with more than 3 conceded goals...

interesting, you mean you using 3 wingers each side and only one mc. those aml/r using far edge or end of top line which match preview shows 3 ST. is your rival were present at match time, if I would your oppo then I might try to change tactic to 'through the mid' and wants to see whats happen

As I said, my MR and ML both can play MC (and they play MC in my default 451v). In that 4-3-3 I put them really close to MC box, almost on the border, so they gave possession on flanks and in the center. I had three my midfielders in the gaps between his midfielders. I don't think going through the middle would change things drastically.
I don't remember exactly about my AMR and AML, but I think I left them in the middle of their boxes.
The opponents were watching the games, and we changed formations in the 2nd half. I rarely, if not never, play the same formation for the whole match against equal teams.

As suspected before season start my classical 3n-2w-3n-2 lost a bit of effectiveness due to dml and dmr not being counted as midfielders and not counting as much in the possession percentage

I found a cheap way to re-assess the formation by replacing a DC with a DMC, so playing with a 2-3w-3-2
It seems to work just fine in TE 2018

This is going to be my third season with 4-2-2 (AML-AMR) -2 because the ends I bought at 18 were a monstrosity and between them the goals are shared until last season with all the goals were shared from the midfielder upwards always excelling my AML (Cristiano Ronaldo xD).

I play from the 6th season and it has led me to win my 5 consecutive league and follow the trend of playing champions' final (5 ° in a row --- 2Win 3Lost ).

But this season with the update something is failing I lost 3 match already (ilogicos on paper), the same as the last 2 seasons and my team does not connect. I do not have many goals except 01 cup match that wins 0-7 visit.

And I'm seriously thinking about going back to 4-5V-1, which gave me my treble in the 3rd season and double (Champions League) in the 4th season.

This season league and champions I play hard! almost 80% of the teams are above 93% and Champions are not saying my group we are 3% above 93% and we already won among ourselves and nothing will be said until the last date.

Many have said, that defensive line with 3 defenders and 1 DMC is working very well. After the update it seems, that we have to get as much players up the field as possible to score some goals. After my 10 games it seems that I have to score as much as I can, because whatever formation I use or orders I use, my opponent will find a way to shake my net.

As it was in last game. Opponent first shot on target and bang, 1 free-kick and one goal. Total was 2 shots on goal...I had a 4 defenders vs his 1 ST....

Nothing has change , formations are the same than before update , but if you love myths or spend your time to imagine theory , no problem
