No, it's not illegal. I have used that formation before without any problems

what about using two DM next to each other?

or using to AMC next to each other behind two strikers?

I have never seen 2 AMC behind 2 strikers but it doesn't sound like an illegal formation

Legal, but you'll also have to look at other parts of the formation.
