I've edited the post where the 3-2-2-2-1 is no longer effective vs the 4-2-2-2 hexagon.

Played against this formation away in the Champions League today, really wasn't sure what to do so I just played the same formation as he did and thrashed him 1:7 (My team rating 18.3, his 14.3)

Dunno if that helps but though it worthy of mentioning.
