How to Win Against Any Formation?

It's the 2nd game, in the 1st game I lost 3-2 while using 4-1-3-2 (wide). He used the same formation.
My team is 22.3*, his is 21.6*.

You need to lose a defender and then depending on the formation you adopt the DMC also put at least one AMC in there.

Options 3-4-3/ 3-3-2-2/3-1-3-1-2/3-1-3-2-1

5-3-2 needs hard attacking with O/S trap on need faster defenders for that to work well.

Let me know which formation you fancy, we can go from there, was the first game home or away? CL I assume.

Jesus! I thought you Mackems knew a bit about football.
Leaving his AM's wide open is not the best idea.

3-2-2-2-1 Butterfly would be better, or anything where you block his AM's from supplying the two strikers, three DC's with down arrow on the centre one is enough to take care of them.
He's also going to hit you down the flanks, another reason to block those AM's. and play the butterfly as your AM's block his DR/DL from getting forward.

Yes, it is CL. The first game was home, so this was an away game.
I started with Attacking mentality, Offside trap, down both flanks, whole pitch... Tried to go with attacking orders.
I used 4-3-1-2 (4-0-3-1-2) wide, got a f*cking red card in the 39', from then on I played 4-3-1-1, changed to Hard Attacking, Hard tackling. But still above of all, even when I watched the game (and he didn't) + a friend support me, and even though I ran the tactics so well and made so many adjusments, HE SCORED IN 82'. I lost it. This game can really be annyoing sometimes.

When the game engine already has the finalist booked there is little you can do.
At least you gave it a good go, not like some, who just don't bother, and this is the part to the game.

Nothing illegal, possession sometime goes that way away from home. If he had a strong MF and played through it, that may account for some of the possession, How many supporters watched the match?
