how to beat 4-4-2 Classic.. VS slightly better quality team?

the guy just bought 3 more scouts and add to his collection of scouts he already bought this season just before i meet him
I always face problems facing 442 even when my team is slightly better
tried 3-2W-2-2W-1 and i $ucked big time in 2 times, although many seem to recommending it
tried 4-4-1-1 didn't worked
tried 451V, not good enough if he put red arrows on his wingers
4-3-2W-1 is just not good enough
4-1-4-1 was a struggle too

what is your best tactics facing a team as good as yours and he watch his matches?
please don't suggest to formations if you played weaker sides or inactive manager .. with a superior squad or 8% less possession is a different story

It works with narrow too but I score more goals with the wide in passing by both flank.

The 4-1-2-1-2 wide loses you possession. the narrow doesn't work either. Not anymore.

I don't agree if you play short pass, whole pitch and hard tackles. All my middfielders are strong btw.

why don't you try to play 2 dmc? 4-2-1
(mc)-2(aml&amr)-1.. use normal, counterattack, both flanks, long passing.. red arrows on aml and amr.. If I play against this formation, I always try to force my opponent to make some mistakes..
