Training and Counter-Formation Tutorial

Hi guys !
I also have a FINAL today against a team with this tactic:

DR--DC--DC--DL

---MC-MC-MC---
------AMC------

I have a slightly higher team quality, but we're both 5*.
What would you play ?

This is very weak formation cuz he loose one player(his central MC).I used it on the past and the central MC had 4 rating.And I lost from weaker opponent.Soo...dont think so much,you'll beat this guy only if you have DMC.Attackin him from the flanks.

Using your phillosophy about counter formations, I am trying to imagine which formation would be more effective to fight against next formation.....

Maybe it can be called a (christmas) tree.

Allways supossing could be using attacking arrows for middlewings.

Any suggestion from you?
My suggestion trying to use your phillosphy as I understand, could be next ones...
having not any MR and not any DMR at my list players (I have for the others positions)

Reverse tactics are not the countering formations.If he has strong DMC,why you put AMC?Put AML and AMR.The philosofy is to fill your defense according to his attack and use your attack according to his holes in the defense.For an example : he has strong DMC,your AMC is not necessary.He doesn't have DL and DR,so use AML and AMR.Or for an example in the defense : he has strong AMC,always use DMC in that case.Or he has AML and AMR.Use DL and DR without arrows or blue arrows.

Yes, but if the opponent has DR and DL (as the example I was asking) and just 1DC but with 1DMC... then...? 2 or 3 ST? and any AMs...??

My tip : never use 3 ST.This will make your formation in the middle weaker and he'll gain ball possession.If he has only one DC use 2 ST.If he use DL,DC,DR,DMC you can have 2 ST and good midfield like ML,MC,MC,MR.4-4-2 is good against this.

But regarding the 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond. I've tried using 4-5-1 V against it the last two seasons and ever since the game-engine update 2 seasons ago, I always lose even if I have a better team.

Hardly,cuz he's more stronger than you.Try 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond.

Dont use AML and AMR because he'll stop them easily.He has not midfield.You'll easy gain possession if you have good midfield.Your purpose is to get the center and stop him in attack.He has AMC,so you must have DMC,it's recommended!Think about your own tactic,you're the manager.My tip : use 4-1-4-1
