I believe it is a star's worth, so yes percentage wise it becomes less of an advantage in higher levels. But then, as it can still be an advantage, it might be worth having even that little edge. :D

Some people think it adds a * worth rather than a %. Obviously if it's a * then the higher up the levels you go the less effect it would actually have, whereas 10% will always be 10%.

SA is ONLY useful when the player is already good at that role as it adds % to the current ability.

When a Special Ability kicks in a player is treated as One Star Higher...So if your player is 5 star and SA kicks in he will be treated as 6 star...Hope this clarifies your question...:)...
