Best TV Show of past 15 years

ANYONE that didn't vote for The Wire obviously hasn't seen the wire. Had it been on any other network but HBO and it was on regular TV it would of dominated awards, etc... didn't get as much recognition because it was an HBO program.. Google search it Top Ten Shows of 2000s 9/10 websites have The Wire as number one. Watch it people it is a great show and really really goes in depth about American Politics and what not and crime.. It is also realistic not like CSI or something!

sons of anarchy & friends

A couple of people have recommended Sons of Anarchy to me as a replacement now that Dexter and Breaking Bad have finished. When I finish watching the Shield I will probably check it out.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that show. I tried a couple of times, but I just could not get into it. it was definitley a big steaming massively popular juggernaut tho, incredibly unique with lots of critical acclaim. Plus Kiefer Sutherland is such a badass.

Recently there was an indian version of 24 starring Anil Kapoor( yes, that guy who played the host of "Who wants to Be a Millionaire" in Slumdog Millionaire)..... And it was such a HIT here!!! Inspired from the original 24 but a totally different storyline and what an amazing acting performance by Anil Kapoor!!!! He is a Bollywood Legend!!!

So I just got done watching the Shield. The first season or 2 wasn't great, they made some pretty big missteps, much like Breaking Bad. They made some decisions with the show which might be good to hook the average schmo tv viewer, but which had unintended consequences and negatively impacted the show for what I consider not a great benefit.

Having not long ago dusted off The Wire, it is noticeable that there's inauthenticity rife with this show, especially at the start and there's a lack of nuance and complexity. Also like Breaking Bad the show got stronger as it progressed and it became a real rollercaster. The last three seasons were excellent. I absolutely loved the final 2 episodes. If the Wire and 24 had a lovechild it would be The Shield.

Solidly entertaining and a real grower, I'd recommend it.

So I guess next up is Sons of Anarchy, here's hoping it's of similar quality to the shield, or even the Wire.
