Initially, when I started Top Eleven I was using the 4-3-3 as daily formation, 90% times, just depending of how I saw the match I changed to a diamond or the 4-3-1-2.
After some seasons I realized that a player in wrong position don't mean a lot, and that some MC's or ST's played very well as AMC's, wich in my opinion is a more stable formation, and works against more formations. And since this moment I always start matches with a 4-3-1-2 using a MC or a ST as a AMC, so this is my initial formation, then if I see that the match start more complicated than the expected I change the orders or some players, and now I use the 4-3-3 if I have the possession a lot in my favour and the match is done, or, if a match looks complicated I change to a 4-3-3 for just 10 minutes, and if the bar of possession changes suddenly or I feel that I have more chances, I finish the match with 4-3-3.

So, thats all the story, and the answer that you wanna hear is that, by my viewpoint, provides more stability in the matches.
