Limp Lions?

Go Leo opened their League and Champions' League campaign in unconvincing manner yesterday, narrowly winning 3-2 in the league against a much weaker Anto FC and then going down 2-0 to Xaitan in the Champions' League.

A 90th minute Muhammed Ozen strike saved Leo the blushes in the early league match with the game tied at 2-2. The Lion's back four looked fragile despite Daniel Callsen-Bracker and defensive partner Dominik Metzner putting in a good shift.

The opening Champions' League loss makes it much more difficult to navigate the group as the other two rivals are equally matched which makes it a very open group. Again, the defence were at fault for both goals against Xaitan and the Boss would need to rethink of how to plug the holes.

"Regretably, we have let in four goals in two macthes, hardly a defence that could win a championship. We have trimmed our squad this season but I now see that it could work against us this season."

Go Leo played a few new faces last night, namely defender Dominik Metzner, midfielders Muhammad Ozen, Manuel Ferrari & striker Adrian Kaczmarek.
