I would never tank a team, but I have no problem with those that do.

For me, I would rather play at the highest level each season - and to do that I would have to get promoted. That is thus the main aim/goal each season, with CL football a bonus if possible.

I've seen some comments about how some people tank if they can't get in the Champions League because they will miss out on the extra games/fans/money if they got promoted in 7th. What they don't seem to realise is that by tanking they are still missing out on CL football, but also they are doing it at a lower level the year after.

While there is merit in saying its better to tank to get a stronger squad at that level (two seasons to develop players instead of one), for me it doesn't really make sense or make it worth while.

Tanking is good if you have had a bad season,or you want to make your squad stronger

i try not tank but done twice in 22 seasons, 1st time was in league with 5 token buying scout teams and 2nd time was this season as i have 3 higher levels teams in champions league which should not happen but Nordeus won`t admit there was a cock up with this, so don`t want to up to get this again as it ruined my season before it even started

Managers should do whatever they need to do to win!, for those who can't afford to buy tokens or do not get free tokens and play in a league against players like that(me) then if they need to waist a season to build a better team then so be it. I have no problem with it, I have never had to do it myself.

For me... Tanking is part of the strategy to success in this game if you need to use it. If your constantly fighting against many token buyers/farmers each season and cannot buy good players from the auctions... What other options have you got left? Well at least tanking is a good option since your cutting your losses early and waiting for a better opportunity.

Also the way this game is designed, It's better to miss promotion altogether if your going to fail to get in the Champions League.
