Champions League: After the defeat to Trollus Trollus Unexpectidae FC in the previous CL round Buffs FC get back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory at home. The motivational therapy appears to have worked on Central Midfielder Billy Bremner - scoring a double and providing an assist.

    Shock exit from the Cup!

Yesterday FC Bristbury faced Ragil FC for the away leg of the Cup. I was away for the match, but having won the home leg 3-1 I felt we were in a strong position to progress. I expected a tough match, and the other manager turned up and effectively fought to a 2-0 win. On a 3-3 aggregate FC Bristbury were knocked out of the Cup on the away goals rule, much to the disappointment of the fans and the players. Central Defender Sean Kelly gave his thoughts after the match: "Having won the home leg by a reasonable margin we didn't really think about the impact of that one goal we let through. It's gutting to be knocked out like this, but we deserved it - we allowed ourselves to become complacent. Now we will aim to win the League and Champions League double for the third season in a row."

Meanwhile, central midfielder Leandro Viera is being unfairly ribbed by the media for his comment that with Adriano Lourenco having been out due to injury for about 5 days, he and Dean Pritchard were "too tired to perform". Leandro and Dean, the fans would like to say that they think you've done a fantastic job and the press are out of order.

    League fluctuations

This season's League is a more active one than FC Bristbury have experienced before. We finished the first day in 2nd on goal difference, but then after a goalless draw on the 2nd day we found ourselves in 5th. A win on the third day saw us climb to finish 5th after 3 days and then a win for us and a loss by our main rivals put us back to 2nd after 4 days. Having won our League game today, we will finish 1st if the team in 2nd lose, but if they draw we will have the same points but will be in second due to goal difference. If they win we will trail behind them in second by 2 points.

Finally, I now have some tokens, so expect to see between 1 and 3 new players appearing in the next few days.

Champions League: Celtic Rangers, carrying 6 injuries, decide to buy an MC and heal a striker to be able to field a 5-3-2. Lose 1-0 and get another injured MC. >.<

San Marino came out with a flurry today in the Champions league against 2nd place Ranjo, in rout to a 6:1 victory. MR/AMR/AMC Jose Herrara with his 3rd hat trick of the young campaign. We now sit 5 points clear regardless of what happens in the late game.

The reward for our efforts could potentially be 3 token buyers in the KO rounds and that's just to reach the finals (OUCH)! Group C and G leaders are clearly token buyers. Group B's 3rd place squad (1-0-2 3 pts) isn't so clear. His starting 11 is 10 5 star players and 1 scout, mostly young players (not nordgen) and w/o special abilities. Can't quite figure out how he's in third either, considering he's 10Q better than anyone else in his group!!!

Picked up one yellow card! No injuries, make that 12 straight w/o an injury to start the season. No way this continues!!! Certainly a pleasant surprise though..

Tottenham having lost and drawn in the champions league needed to get back to winning ways but as the first team had played earlier we had a dilema!, after some deep thought we decided " to risk it for a biscuit" and send out the 2nd team!. Season 54-untitled.jpgSeason 54-untitled1.jpg ...sometimes you just got to gamble!.

League: Buffs FC shock Barcelona with a 2-0 away win. However, Buffs just aren't converting the chances - 26 shots, 14 on target but the home keeper did rate 9 with 6 fantastic saves. Manager Buffs Mad said "The goals will come, someone's going to get humped and soon." (Editors Note: Didn't watch the match - seemed like a routine match against a disorganised side).

League: Celtic Rangers cause an upset by beating the league leaders 3-2 away pushing them down into second. CR are equal on points but inferior gd leaves them 3rd.

Manager Midas McGonnigal said "Here I'm thinking it was a masterful tactical display and I earned my dosh, the opposition Manager is probably shouting 'Trolled'. Perspective is a strange thing." He later added "....and no fecking injuries either!"

Perfect Tactics ended their 100% record with a 2-2 draw to Marissa FC, a winless backmarker with a 82' longrange equalizer. WTF IS THIS NORDEUS???

Meanwhile, several matches are rigged. Marcelo FC collected their first win today with a 2-1 win over Persebaya. Desta United beats Deki FC 1-2. Tdr 3000 FC beats Rawan FCsozm 1-0 to keep it level on the top with 16 points. **** you Nordeus and your game engine.

Everyone now at least has a win and/or a draw in the league. Next up in the league is Persebaya.

The manager have said that "It's like we're losing today. This is the match we suppose to come out easily with a freaking win. Conceded double corner in the match certainly means that we're going to suffer in the end. Looks like something around me has cursed our team."
