I often have to forgive one of my MCs - he gets penalised in the ratings for biting legs too often and sometimes the play passes him by being stuck right in the centre. Then I feel sorry for him and give him a red arrow just so he gets out of the 6s or 7s. Making a player the focus of play for a couple of games is, for me, a good test of whether has has it or not.

Just an update. I sold this player recently. He was never really worth the trouble. He rarely had good games. I can point more games where he was at-fault for a loss than the opposite.

He sold for just over $4M at the start of three seasons later. He didn't train well after he turned 20 either.

Wondering if I took the time to type out that fancy formation? Nah, check out my python script!

I found that if the player costs extremely high (compared to the other ones) and his season wage is extremely high too then he is a bad player. Ah, forgot to say that very often players with height <180 plays like **** for me. I've got player worth 13M and his quality 46- sold him after his bad play. For avoiding this l'm buying players that
1)costs high and his season wage is low compared to the other ones.
    2)height must be over 180.

I've kind of found that true as well. The exception is AML position.

    Very interesting Thread!
I have often bought new players ...normally young with high wages and if they score 5's and 6's in first few games I get rid!
Maybe I should be a bit more patient...lol
I also look at the speed of training and get rid if slow trainers
I can't believe they are all bad players but don't know how long to wait to see if the trend changes.
Very interesting to see other peoples views.

On paper, great player. High value, young, and talented (38.8, 37.6, 38.8 skills). However, his ratings are honestly terrible.

    First game:
    • League game
    • 0-1 Home Loss
    • Weaker opponent (even before transfer)
    • 5 rating (DR also rated 5)
    • Took a yellow card

    Second game:
    • League game
    • 1-2 Road Win
    • Stronger opponent
    • 4 rating

    Third game:
    • Champions League, Rnd 6
    • 2-4 Home Loss (Result did not matter, played B-team)
    • 5 rating

    Fourth game:
    • League game
    • 4-0 Home Win
    • Comparable opponent
    • Scored goal at 37'
    • 6 rating

    Fifth game:
    • Cup, Top 16, 2nd Leg
    • 2-0 Home Win
    • Weaker opponent
    • 6 rating

    Sixth game:
    • League game
    • 1-7 Home Win
    • Weaker opponent
    • Subbed off at 77'
    • 4 rating

Should I sell or am I over-reacting here?
    4 = kill that bastar..
