I strongly agree. Why remove features that enhance experience? I sometimes do click "auto assign", but I still want to have the option to do it manually.

Auto-apply is a heap of crap - remove it.
I'll be removing the app from my phone. No cheating, no manipulating I just appreciate customised gameplay.
PS whats the point of adding Negotiation functionality to an app then restricting it to benched, inactive and resting players.
- REMOVE auto assign skill points
- ADD train strengh
- ADD percentage of health & morale

You can focus on a particular skill when adding skill points. Go to the player - Skills and you can change it there. Not quite the same but at least you have a say where the skill points are assigned.
