Strikers Bought This Season Are Not Scoring Enough Goals

I have bought 3 strikers this season. Their profiles are shown below. None of these strikers have scored enough goals. I have sold the the first two; the last striker is still in the team. He trains fast but has failed to impress so far. I have one striker that was from the previous season. He scored a few goals more that those 3 strikers, and seems to be performing better than those 3 strikers despite having the lowest quality (25) and being a slow trainer.
    What could be the problem?

I am struggling with the same issue this season.

This season drives me crazy, I don't even have good mood to post here... Very challenging league and CL, very hard to score, especially for the strikers.

I have bought and sold several expensive Nordgens strikers, none of them scored well, I just bought one couple days ago and power trained him close to 7 star. Used him once, scored one goal and form 8. Need to use him more to test.

The 3 strikers that I bought were 5 stars 'nordgen' players too. The first one is a decent trainer, the second is a slow trainer and the third one is a fast trainer. The first one failed to impress me, so I sold him. I bought a cheaper 5 stars striker; he too failed to shine.

I was able to get a fast training striker 5 star striker after going through some rounds of bidding wars with another user. I am satisfied with his progress in terms of quality gained; when I bought him he was Q27 and now he is Q29. But, he too failed to impress on the pitch. His performance has been average so far; that is not good enough for a 5 stars fast training striker which is about to become a 6 stars. Some of the goals he managed to score were from the penalty spot. He scored only 3 goals in open play so far; a total of 5 goals (2 from penalties) for 9 matches played. In my opinion, that is poor for a striker having such a profile as shown in the 3rd image in post above.

The scout's list has no striker that is really worth purchasing; not even one has a one-on-one special ability.

don`t get panicked in selling i had a striker last season scores 1 every 4/5 game this season he`s flying but my top scorer last season is hardly scoring, so GOD help any team when these two click at the same time

Thanks for the advice. I don't want to sell him because he trains fast (+130) as compared to the other 5 star nordgens which were available on the market. I went for quite a number of bidding rounds to get him. He was not cheap. I bought him as a Q27 and he is already on Q29 despite his relatively poor performances on the pitch, and he needs only 12 skill points to reach scout quality. But, I need a good striker capable of scoring a lot of goals now. So far, 3 new strikers have failed.

I did notice him missing a few scoring chances on the comments though (this is another minus).

I'm thinking of buying a striker from the scout's list, despite that none has the one-on-one special ability.

It is very certain that we experienced exactly the same thing, even the same thinking to try to solve this dilemma, so no need for me to be rumbling here.

Now I can only rely on one scout striker I bought 3 seasons ago and this newly bought/trained striker to make goals. Every game is a pain to me so far, hard to get goals, always concede goals very early or very last minute, always loose points and games etc...

The transfer market is ridiculous, let alone the scout list...

I agree that the transfer market has been very poor so far this season. The only good players I was able to get so far from the transfer market were players that have already played for other clubs (that is, they were not bought from nordgen teams this season).

The scout's list for this season is a joke. I have posted another thread concerning this topic.

Yes, I saw that post you posted... And agree.

I believe not only us but also other fellows are experiencing the same thing... I meant in terms of all aspects because I am pretty sure that the developer modified their programs by adding/deleting/modifying their codes and these changes largely impact on almost everything... But all for one purpose: you want to win? Ok, buy tokens or more clicks on the commercials, videos etc ...

Will see if I am correct at the end of this season.

The company probably knows that many users target nordgens, and also that many of these users get these players for only a few tokens. It could be that the company wants these users to keep on buying and selling players, hence generating more revenue as tokens are required for buying a new player. This is why it seems that a lot of 'nordgens', despite having profiles of high quality players, fail to impress on the pitch.

Another possibility is that they want us to buy tokens to get rest packs to powertrain the players so that these players could start to do more on the pitch. I think that should not be like this. Most expensive 5 star players should perform well on the pitch, especially against 3-4 star opponents; there is no need to powertrain them to 6 stars or above, unless many of your opponents are of higher quality.

I have also noticed that new nordgens are being listed also in another period these days in addition to the usual period. Maybe the company wants more than 1-2 tokens per nordgen player.

It could also be something else.

    Agree.

This has been an old issue that people have been discussing here for years.

Will see how it goes further, if spending time cannot get some happiness, I will definitely shut it down and retire.

Plus, your another finding is very good, I noticed it too. 😀
