The company probably knows that many users target nordgens, and also that many of these users get these players for only a few tokens. It could be that the company wants these users to keep on buying and selling players, hence generating more revenue as tokens are required for buying a new player. This is why it seems that a lot of 'nordgens', despite having profiles of high quality players, fail to impress on the pitch.
Another possibility is that they want us to buy tokens to get rest packs to powertrain the players so that these players could start to do more on the pitch. I think that should not be like this. Most expensive 5 star players should perform well on the pitch, especially against 3-4 star opponents; there is no need to powertrain them to 6 stars or above, unless many of your opponents are of higher quality.
I have also noticed that new nordgens are being listed also in another period these days in addition to the usual period. Maybe the company wants more than 1-2 tokens per nordgen player.
It could also be something else.
