This is currently one of the fundamental flaws with the game at the moment, the issue with the video limit would be pointless once you realise THESE are the types of opponent you will be facing in the competition anyway, it just renders everything NULL.
All we ask for is an even playing field with similar level managers with similar team quality which is what should happen in the Champions League! I get sometimes with Cup you get OP teams because it was built like that, but being put against teams 3 levels above with full 9* makes us question why even bother or why are we being put in a competition like this? Its not rocket science; the game has been out for a very long time in development terms so why is this still not addressed?
    fundamental flaws
    REPEATED
Yes, the development of the game stops at lv35-40
Then the choices you have is to do a take over (not any more) or doing some tricks as tanking so to have very strong team or to be patience for some seasons so level up in the higher levels and then play with teams from lower levels - being in the top of the food-chain
Buying of farming packs really has no meaning here as you must get 80-90 packs to make a player that a manager from a level above, buying with 1 token.

@Nik ~ Haha, you got my reference xD

Yeah I left the forums for a while, but I did lurk a couple of times since. I have kept playing though, threatening to quit a few times (Which is usual coming from me) although seeing situation like this brought me back here again

Surprised you remembered me though, from the looks of it you and your team have come very far since we last met!

A question, is those monster teams a result of players dumping players late in the season before the cup draw in question? If this is the case it's something TE can fix. By like seeding teams based on the avg the previous season, or something like that.

like i mention before 3 league in every level.
Ameture Semi-Pro and Pro like a mode you choose where you wanna play and what to expect.
etc. if you choose an Ameture league knowing you have a high quality team in your level, well chances of you winnig the league is high yes! you can stay there enjoying trophy after trophy but with no real challenge.(Amature)
if you are a competitive manager try you hand on semi pro or pro where you get to meet team your standard or higher in your league thats the challenge. if you win it you know where you stand amoung managers in your league.(as there is no ranking in te)
theres always a different in Amature and pro a different between a competitive manager and less ambitious manager.(the one the dump player and change in new season) although i can understand it the easy way out to win cup.
the 3 mode i mention applied to league & cl. so manager wont feel unfair in draw as they are the one that choose where they want their team to play.
for cup competition not to sure.....

    no, that's different.
We 're talking about the teams playing in the top of the server.
All the players of the game are separated in different servers.
There are more than 200 servers, I don't know exactly the number.
Every server has few teams who are above lv40.
There are servers who have teams and can "build" a league of level 52-53 but most lack of many teams.
The Cup and the CH.L. draw is starting from the top of the server (the higher q/level teams) and going down , making competitions of 132 teams.
If there aren't enough teams in a (poor) server, a Cup or a CH.L. can have
    (example)
    10 teams lv 48
    30 teams lv 47
    35 teams lv 46
    40 teams lv 45
    ----------------
    =115
    + 17 teams from lv 44 =132 teams

So, those teams from lv 44 can see some other teams with 5*-6* as 9*-10* players.
one solution is to re-organize the servers, gather many teams from levels above 46 in specific servers so the competitions to have similar levels (this happened before about 1,5-2 years I think).
    or
make imaginary 4*-5* (bot teams) teams as in the first levels

or level up some teams so to have the chance to buy higher q players as their opponents.

Of course this needs some extra job

    * to make things more difficult,
    - those teams from the higher lv maybe win the title or promote to CH.L. but if there aren't enough teams to create a higher lv league, the play again in the same lv league and keep the stars of their players.
    - Usually those active managers spend or farm a lot and of course have a lot of experience
    - There aren't new players to buy as there aren't teams from higher levels to sell their players
    - There aren't game created players (nordgen)

If there are that many servers then surely like you said they could try introduce some of the higher level teams into the server. Otherwise introducing some 5-6* bot teams may be worth a shot. But most ideas though seem to consist of there needing to be an influx of teams.

One other idea would be to introduce a level cap and follow real life football league system.
So for example, let's say level 46 is the limit, teams in that level can not be promoted any further but the bottom 3 teams can be relegated (so relegation would have to implemented throughout). They could also impose financial and player implications of being relegated like players do not gain a star by being relegated (to deter those that may think they can gain a star). Player quality could potentially stay the same at the level cap and they could slow down or potentially stop player quality growth after a set limit (so they don't grow to be too OP for the newly promoted teams). Nordgens would have to be generated to provide replacements for player transfer.

This idea would be more difficult to implement and I'm sure there are issues to iron out but overall could be an interesting idea.

HairDryer, the problem with this is that it's still likely to get teams with high quality in the amateur league. Which would result in the same problem for the teams with lesser quality.

Both ideas suggested were good, even with a few minutes thinking some ideas came up. Basically reading from Niks post the highest level teams are stuck in a loop of success due to being too OP because there is a lack of opposition for them so they win their title and other domestic competitions very easily. They will then get even more powerful next season yet again because they are either stuck in the same league but will have access to their level market of players making them again even more powerful. It bores and frustrates us teams who are a level below having to face these sort of team because of a glass ceiling placed on them due to the lack of people. It also may bore the top managers because they are winning with no effort being made which is not their fault since Nordeus broken system put everyone in this position.

Basically we SHOULD NOT be suffering because of the lack of ideas or even effort by Nordeus to even sort this problem. The suggestions of combining those top level teams into one server is a good idea. The question is whether Nordeus would actually go and sort this issue out because it will cost them time and money to do so is probably another topic to discuss.

One thing we probably can do at the moment is to manage a different team by dropping down some levels. But like many managers out there that would mean ditching the team we built with our very hands, laying our foundations with the team and the history and achievements that we had with them will be gone.
