Sanity restored today, as Desert Rats went back to being the miserly-minded defensive outfit they were before the Cup match last night. Home League match against 10th place, and some reserves included in the Starting XI. With a 13000 full-house in their new Medium Town Stadium, an Emerson de Alencar Arraes penalty and a 40 yard shot from out by the touchline by substitute left-winger Gary Cusack were enough to record a 2-0 win and, after the word that the leaders had drawn at 4th place, surge to the top of the heap on goal difference.

The CL game was such a blunder coz I forgot to enter the necessary 5* men including Mirko Di Martino in time before the kick off. What a let down



Next opponent in CL will be Der Panzer. Another game against an uber team. Fingers crossed

Comfortable wins for axd23 FC today.
Early in the morning there was a CL clash for the last day of the groups. A pretty much indifferent game as the first spot was secured in the previous match. However, the boys treated the game with seriousness and ended up winning 0-3 to finish the group with 16 points in total.



Later, for the match in the League at home axd23 secured another easy, but with not that many goals as the total attempts (22 vs. 8) would suggest, victory. It was a special match nevertheless as the second goal scored marked the 1000th goal since the club was founded.

The Desert Rats unbeaten run ended at 77 matches with a 0-1 home defeat in the last Group match in the Champions League. The visitors scored in the 2nd minute, and the home side couldn't find a way to score themselves.
