After a season of frustration finishing third in the League and quarter final finishes to the Cup competitions Red Kelpie FC was looking forward to the upcoming season with good recruitment and substantial pre season training. So far the team has played 3 matches in the Cup competitions for 3 wins and 16 goals to nil. Today's release of the League schedule for the upcoming season sent a shiver through the manager with the Red Kelpie squad rated as the 11th best team in the League. Rating at 100.8 the team is well below the League average of 109.29 with 3 teams rating higher than 120 and 1 higher than 140. Could be the first time Red Kelpie has missed the top 4 in several seasons when the only time they missed was coming 5th on goal difference for tied 2nd. Could be the first time Red Kelpie fails to promote which would be a shock for this proud club. One wonders how a League schedule such as this happens at the relatively low Level 14. Further to the managers woes is the team is only 3rd rated to get out of the group stage in the Champions League.Looks like a hard season ahead for Red Kelpie FC.
