    what about offside trap ?
Offside trap would work fine if your defence is strong enough, there are few things that would make me think that Man to man marking must go without offside trap but i didn't find any difference while testing this..

I personally use offside trap ON with any formation that has all defenders in 1 line and plays Zonal marking as it's part of the modern football.
DL DC DC DR should work just fine with offside trap as the players will stand in 1 line and push up when there's a pass to the opponent's attackers.
With Man To man marking i would avoid using it.
