Are you taking condition loss from match play, could be fitness or age have a consistent effect on condition drop whether in match or training. Many other factors involved in match losses though.

I try to not mix testing sessions with games to get a better result. What I would like to do is (i) to take two equal kids, but with a big diff in the Fitness ability, and run identical drills on them and see if the Fitness ability also makes players loose less conditioning in training. At the start of next season I will also more closely (ii) look if the lvl of training facility will have any impact.
I will also (iii) look at how running a goaltender drill on a non-goalie player affects the ability gain and what way that might be useful.

I decided to do a little test.
These are my two players. I made sure they were both at 99 condition before starting.
This is the training session.
This is the result after running the first two training sessions.
This is after 4 training sessions.
The four sessions of same training.
The only thing I wanted to point out is that they were not the same age. But does that matter? I don't know. So based on this little test it looks like condition loss is not affected by fitness level. Though I would think it would be.

Great stuff Nudo!!
Now we can basically tick that box too, conditioning loss in training is not dependent on fitness ability.
