Are the training overviews of any use?

For example...I like to play counter attack, but fast counter attack drill comsumes a lot of condition, so I basically reach my 10% bonus dailly but only with low condition drills.
So the question is...I am missing any kind of hidden bonus for not using the fast counter attack drill? Or the skill overview are just words to justify the drill name?
