I think you can counter it with the one from the above post: 3-2-2-2-1. Or maybe a 4-1-4-1 with red arrows on dl/dr and dmc, down both flanks, defensive, counter on, no offside, own half pressing.

How can I beat this team? (Cup 1/4)
I was thinking to play defensive (5-3-2)

    This is my team.

    Thanks in advance,

    Telf
    3-2-3-2

    DC-DC-DC
    DML-DMR
    MC-MC-MC
    ST-ST

this will work to much good but red arrows at DML/R
with normal mentality ... own half ... down both flanks ... mixed passing ... counter attack ... no offside trap.

    Can be countered by:

    3-2-3-2:

    -------ST---ST-----
    ----MC-MC-MC---
    DML---------DMR
    ----DC-DC-DC----

    and as Dorin said

That is exactly what you do not want to do, he is going to attack you, while you can hit him on the counter, he has plenty of cover with a flat back four. He could well have red arrows on the two MC's adding to the problem.
IMO you need to push him back forcing his AM players to do some defending, which in turn releases pressure and allows you to do a bit more damage with your own players, he has no DM cover so this is where to exploit him.
I would probably go with the butterfly against him, 3DC's covering his striker and the centre AMC, DML/DMR blocking his AML/AMR, your two MC's against his, leaving you with AML/AMR and a ST against his back four.

Plenty of time to sort orders, while you go and do some checking on where his goals have come from, who's showing form in the cup, also try to see any formations he's lost to recently and by how much.
Most important for the orders. speed of his striker and AM players against your DC's and DM players. and vice versa with your own, ST and AM players.

    Yes! that's correct.
As you have not given much else to go on, a few pointers.
His ST and AM players are faster than your opposites, then play normal with short passing through the flanks no O/S and force counter, put red arrows on the AML/AMR, during the game if your ST is playing to many short balls to the AM playersinstead off going for goal or your AM's are trying to tee him up all the time switch to mixed passing and put arrows on the ST. Zonal, Own half.

If your DC's and DM's are faster:
Attack him, Whole pitch pressure attack both flanks, with short passing, zonal marking and O/S no counter.
In this mode if his strikers are getting one v one with the keeper knock the O/S trap off, don't give them more than two chances.
