Julio Quatro 2-1 FC AYRON Champions League Round of 16, 2nd Leg.
(Julio Quatro win 5-2 on aggregate)
Kevin Mensah now strong favourite for club top scorer this season.
FC AYRON were the better team in this game and played an outstanding game of football and they got themselves back in with a shout with a 19th minute goal through Pert, they almost made it 2-0 with a fine effort from Geronovycz but it just went wide, Julio Quatro were outplayed in the first half, and what was expected to be sound progression was nearly put in jeopardy, Early in the second half, FC AYRON nearly scored again though Roberts, Justino and Savage were brought on and Justino was hurt right away and replaced with Blais, The free kick from the challenge that enflicted Justino's injury, Was a fine Free-Kick that Kevin Mensah put away, FC AYRON still disn't give up, Rabben had his free-kick saved, in the 89th minute, Mensah's effort was blocked for an expense of a corner, Which Novotny producted one of his trade mark crossess and the 'little messiah' Kevin Mensah headed the winner and he got his 30th goal of the season, Yossi Benayoun's record of 43 in a season by central midfielder is now under threat.
If luck had been on the side of the visiting team, then this result would of been a lot different and based on the 2 performances of both sides, FC AYRON probably deserved to go through, but they didn't because of the quality of Kevin Mensah.
Solomon Blais was also injured in training after the game.

Quick question: I just played my second knockout match in the championship league and the score is now tied. As in, I won the first leg 2-1 and my opponent won this one 0-1.
Since we each won one match and the score differential is also equal, does this mean the score is decided by who scored highest during the group stage or what?
Mixed emotions after todays matches.
LGE: Tongfang Utd (away). Won 3-2 (Duran, King, Kennedy). MOM: Teddy King.
Good win, away at the strongest team in league. It means I've completed the double over them this season and moved 5 points clear of them in 2nd place. Gary Tracey suffered a groin strain though, and will be out for 6 days.
CL: Elon fc (home). Drew 2-2 (Kennedy, Mancini).
Should have been a comfortable win against weekest team in the competition, but.... They had DC sent off in 9th minute, and then went 2-0 up. City managed to get the match back to all square, but we went out on away goals after a dull 0-0 first leg.
I've actually been eliminated from the CL, without losing a match.
