Do player ratings matter?

no. that simple. the important is what you see, how works a player, if he is active and help the team.
Perfectly a player can have always a 7 rating and do nothing.

I do think the ratings matter, but are not the total picture of the player. I have an MC that scores and get's the six, and my GK's take naps and get fives. I pretty much ignore the GK ratings, as I do think it is about how many times they touch the ball. But when my MC get's low ratings I think it means I am underutilizing him.

They really do not. my STs get 7-7 forms when they miss 7 chances from 7. As said in other threads this game consists of random numbers.

He's getting bad ratings because he hasn't had to make saves.
The only time keepers will get 8/9 ratings is if the opposition have had a good amount of shots on target and your keeper has had to make crucial saves.

...which is a bad thing, you want a solid defence, so if your keeper doesn't need to make any saves and gets a 5 rating, don't worry.

What about other positions? I have got a DMC getting a lot of 5s as well...

But now I am more inclined to believe that ratings are lies...

It could be down to the formation you play him in, also you cant expect every player to get 7+ every game, what formation do you play your DMC in? I play mine in 3-1-4-2.

For me rating is important. Player who have note of 6, don t play with me !!! And when i win it´s when i have good rating for players!

Look at #4 at the bottom, 5-5-5-5-5. I have used him ONCE this season and yet he has ratings. I look at the stats of this single player and the ratings are blank except for one cup game.



so stats are reset evey season except for career stats and as far as I know, ratings are not career stats.

is this another fubar thing on Nordeeus?

I dunno, but I think this just shows that ratings are bogus and just assigned to a player.

If this is true, what a boondoggle.

yep, meant match ratings is a lie, not player ratings. my english was glitchy there. player rating is the only thing important

heres an example for ye non believers that took place ever so many moons ago
won the game by at least 7 goals (think the final score was 10ish - 3ish)
CAM got a hattrick assist but got a 6
CF got a hattrick goal but got a 7
RB (who i didnt read once) got an 8
LB, who i read just once on a failed counter, got a 9
im guessing all the other players were averageish since i dont remember the other ratings

just believe in your players and not some number

I think they are his last five games anyway including previous season.

I have had terrible trouble with this in the past seasons and believe it does matter, as one, or two under performing players can make your team perform badly but don't ask me how to fix this as still try to figure that out.
