    Ok
"The match simulation engine takes many factors into consideration and we are not aware of the exact formulas that the engine uses"
    "We have no information ...."
    "From personal observations ..."
    "I believe that ..."

That's far from being an official answer. It looks more like an answer from Khris
Anyway, that's like Coca Cola's super secret .
It has billion of fans, it has thousands of employees but only a handful of people knows the recipe.
So I believe only few nords know how the engine works.
Some of the old staff have left so they are fewer now.
If Fingolfin for example could answer this, I would believe that.
Khris never would say something like:
"Player foot, weight and height do have an effect"
Cuz Khris and all the staff of mods knows that this is fake.

"we are not aware of the exact formulas that the engine uses"

Should be a "I am not aware of the exact formulas that the engine uses"

    This makes me so angry.

I saw that post too, a question : how is possible that a game employee don't know how the game engine works ? i can say "ok" maybe that person work on the aesthetic part and don't have info about it but ... is only strange for me ? At least they can say , yes that matter this no and then is the player job to find a good formula

Because only real players of the game know those things.
Nik, Khris, madflo, po-zdrach and other members are playing TE for many years, spending some hours every day.
They have bought and train many players, played imany games and finals, won trophies, so they have the experince to understand if something has a meaning or it's bs.
Support staff are just employees who got some training and have a team, just to play for fun and understand the basics.

I started playing this game from 2014, i'm a old player too , i didn't follow this forum much that time but i remember old admins like Jeeves that give some infos about the game or at least he tried to give answers regarding some game instructions ( for example the old arrows ), nowadays there are some "mystery" about lot of things( for example the positioning of the players on the fluid tactic screen )that imo must be explained from them, not only through our experiments.

    "fluid tactic screen"

Believe me this don't exist, is just a big illusion xD in old versions we had spots and 2 arrows, now they simplifyed the arrows and still in some cases seems that moving am's... at some point they appear ijn the other side or like if they r switched with another player.
This "fluid tactic screen" is just a change of visual displaying, thre's no influence inside the game calculations. We are always at same point, there's no "tactic", because the game dont face tactics in a 1vs1 mode. Never did it.

    edit:

I mean, the tactics work, separately, not "in relation". Same I repeat always, or long passing works, or if u lose the ball switch to short.
Same with the flank, counter on-of and all settings.
Thats why all formation displayings can win all, and why theres not a clear guide about X vs Y (ex- long passing is cutted with¿? and so on )

To be clear, to "prove" that a X formation or settings work vs Y formation, one should play with a -20% team intentionally and then "prove" that they can win with a specific counter x5 times in a row +20% avq teams.

Nobody did this. Thats why I taked of all the "illuminated" that are doing dozens of YT channels saying each one of them that they have the key of the paradise. But noone did something like this.

The thing is that many people believe that (some old experienced managers too)

    Mythbusters of top eleven-nordeus-foot-2.jpg

yes, my "short" ST with only one foot, scored 550 goals so far

    Mythbusters of top eleven-rvn-d3.jpg

but my old winger was too tall for a winger

when another old "Hulk" I had, was just right with height and weight
    - but had worst stats than the tall one

even if had the "correct" foot and a benefit () for his position

From the beginnig i believed that these things matters , tall st or tall gk or short winger/inside foward etc.. but the problem is that we can't see this things in the animation ( if we have 3D we will notice something for sure ) but the engine "seems" to put this data in calculation . Btw 1.80m is not short ^^ ( personally i'm 1,91m) you can call Messi short.

"even if had the correct foot and a benefit for his position", I partially agree with this, AMR and AML they perform better with the opposite foot cause they often cut it and shoot ( personally i prefer players capable with both ), instead is good to have a DL, MR ( or DR , MR opposite ) with left foot beacuse their duty is only (mostly) to cross the ball

But there are already dozens of factors that the game count, there's no space for more info xD still the fact that dev's answered this question in 2012-2013

    It doesn't matter.
    It's just a game.
Even in real football doesn't matter.
    It's the talent man.
Garrincha, a legendary Brazilian player, had a right leg six centimeters longer than the left one
