Next league opponent: is this real?

Hi guys,

after my cup game in the morning I've got the following announcement for the next game at my home screen (I am on the right side - my club name is "FC Pock i ned"):

First of all I was wondering, why an opponent for the league was already showing up at the front page, because the league screen shows that the league will start at the third day.
Initially my team had 98% and so it wasn't so bad considering the strength of the opponent. But i checked the team-comparison afterwards and his stadium has already 31k seats although he is a level three manager and started playing ten days after me (06/11/2017). Is this even possible without spending a lot of tokens to accelerate the construction of the stadium?

After that i checked his squad and wow.... ouch!

All (srsyl all!!!) of his players have a special ability. Am I here confronted with a too ambitious player and obviously token buyer who probably got almost all of his men at the scout market? Only looking at his stadium capacity hurts. ^^ I will have no chance haha... I barely got close to his 108% by spending a lot of tokens for new players (as intended but yet...) , pushing my main squad and some new fast trainers.

Or is this a "visual bug" and I will not have to fight this guy? But why do I see already the upcoming league opponent when it clearly says that the league starts at day three of the new season. Oh and this match does NOT show up in the fixtures tab. Which seems also strange.

The league starts at the third day, but the league fixtures are made already. For now, if your next match is a league match, it will show up today. Its normal. Have you noticed your opponent does not have any player under the age of 22? So he obviously buys scout players, and a lot of tokens too!! What is his formation?

I can also see my league opponent, it's a normal experience d league draw is made at d start of d new season, same time with cup and champions league, but u don't see d draw until day 3

yes, the league draw now it's from day1 (we just cannot see it).
It's very possible to have many League opponents from your Cup or CH.L.

maybe you won't be able to win the League but gonna be an interesting season for you (keep posting here)

you 'll set your team
DL-DC-DR-DMC-3MC-AML-AMR-ST and then 3-4 min before the game, you 'll move your DL-DR to DC positions (if he still playing 4-1-3MC-2ST)

Thanks! Yep, I noticed this and also expected that his players are mainly fresh bought scout players. At the moment his formation is as follows: 4-1(DMC)-3N-2

Thank you as well for the clarification and I will post gladly my forthcoming experience in the upcoming league in this thread. And no, i don't think I will have a chance to win the League against such of an opponent but I will at least try to. ^^

Yes, for stadium he use token. For player, this days you can find high age, 2/3 positions 98% or 99% in the market, then adding 15/30 skills for 6* spend green or buy 99% players from nego market

Scout buyers are lazy trainers in my opinion. They just buy good players and expect them to perform well. You will have a good chance against him. The stadium is not going to help him. The quality difference is just little. So now just get a counter formation (if this even works anymore) and hope for the best.

Btw the SA of his defense suck with no aerial abilities. Penalty kick and corner kick is worthless. He has even 2 more corner kicks SA's in the team. More useless again. And he doesn't have a free kick specialist so his SA are not that much extra.

Time for an update:

The game was a draw (2:2). I watched the game (and also another opponent manager of my league was on my side - I guess, he tried to suppress the by then strongest guy in the league. The opponent manager was absent.




I was 2:0 behind, then switched my formation to 3N-2W-2N-2W-1 (butterfly). Before that I tried it with 3N-1-3N-2W-1 (first defensive and afterwards offensive with no counter attacks). At the end I was happy to score two goals and get the draw. But I had the feeling, that there was more possible. ^^

Ah thanks - I never payed so much attention to the actual SAs (or tbh I was in this case completely overwhelmed)

I took a closer look at my league opponents and gosh... this will be interesting. One guy is tanking but he has a strong team already. But because of that his stats are not appropriately displayed in the following league statistics:

Average Quality: 32,4 (78%; without the tanking manager 80%); I am on the fifth place with 35,5 (102,2%)
Average age: 24,85: me: first place with 71
Average value: 33,84: me: first place with 63,7 millions

I am tempted to think about tanking this season. But not sure right now... Does it make any sense to you to tank in my case (this is just my third season) or is it somehow anyway to late (because I made no special preparations). I already pushed my team with power training and packs and bought some replacements but I am not planning to invest more. I already spent 25 Millions and approximately 140 for new reinforcements (a few fast(er learning) trainers and one recommended player).
