    Every player considering his quality, skills and position, contributes more or less in those three areas.
    With our orders, we affect little more the calculations + the % training bonus.
    No arrows is the default.
    Using defense or attack arrows, we take a little from defense and add to attack or vice versa.
    If some +% in attack will be "translated" to goals, that's another story.
    That's all.

    I think you're right. I believe that the mentality button transfers a small percentage of ability between attacking and defending. For example, a DM with an attacking mentality might received 1% attacking bonus, but will lose 1% defensive ability (for instance, Liverpool's Fabinho). Similarly, an AMR with a defensive mentality will get a 1% defensive bonus and lose 1% attacking bonus (for instance, Chelsea's Willian).

    I really want to give my fullbacks attacking mentality, but my league is so tight at the moment, I dare not take a risk. So here's hoping someone else will carry the burden of testing it out over a stretch of games.

    I don't know if it was the arrow or not, but one of my midfielers with down arrow got double yellow in both CL and league yesterday.

    I don't think that arrows have anuthing to do with that.

    Me too, I just thought that maybe it increases the number of intervrntions a player does. One of the matches I was winning 5-0 so it made no sense to have so many fouls.

    Or having Marcelo in Real M. , give attack arrow and he 'll play as a winger. But don't expect from him to contribute much in defense.
    So you cannot have the same tactics for every game.

    I remember the old times ther were many conversations about "imaginary" game scenes as effect of the arrows.
    Forget about it.
    it just % numbers.

    Smart move from nordeus to bring back the arrows,more talks will be done now on a cosmetic feature,some will try to convince others that they know how the arrows work and they do have an impact to the game...a feature that was removed because it was pure cosmetic,it's back with a huge impact LOL

    I have only one question: why the heck everybody can see your arrows before match now?
    It's shown not only for friends. And destroys any sense of arrow's comeback. So TE19 is still the game about stats and stars, but not tactics. Not even close. You could not see old arrows so why now? It makes this update totally cosmetics and senseless.

    Arrows have 2 importants points to understand-
    1-Visual displaying of players.As each one of the 5 mentalities that change the pressure line, the arrows change the player move.

    2- % added the the internal base of attack/defense player contribution.
    A Defendive MC, always, always, will help in defense if theres option (this means there's a chance, as "defensive player "by defult", to be selected as the player that in the visual action defend) despite that you can add him a red arrow.
    "
    So let's separate, attacking actions and defensive actions -(these always exist, Hard defending mentality, can be full of attack actions, and viceversa)
    Then is a matter, of Internal ratios, and "random selection" that depend of each match, to explain it simplifyed, and all don't depend of what we see.
    A 1% speed player, can win all actions in a match vs a 200% (uhh^^)
    A FK specialist, can miss every match.
    (well I could mention all SAs here abd its superawesome evidentialistic effect lol)
    And a long etc of things that, often we discuss here, so, a "arrow" don't mean that a action will have success at it's 100%, cause this depend, of the own calibrations of contributions that the game does in our team.

    Of course there's a move of power from a line to another (successful or not) that "can" (or can not) be determinant to affect the balance in our favour, giving us more/less control.

    And more or less I think it's this. xD

    well, dont know what happened.
    Is there a limit how many players and which one can have assigned arrows?
    because i just replaced suspended player that was pushed in attack and new player dont have arrow now, and when want to apoint it it just open player stat page
