    Champion's League, Top 16, 1st Leg:

A confortably and i must say this time easy win against a weaker opponent, ended up with a poker which being true doesn't reflect the numerous occasions had by New Team to further increase that gap. Playing away paid its toll seems. Our narrow diamond provided, with some solid arrows where needed, a though wall for them since the start and after failing more than once against just the keeper finally we took the lead after a yellow carded foul which J.Romer converted succesfully (20'). Our opponent seems to have selected hard tackling as more fouls and cards started popping out for them luckily without consequences for our players. But the fragmented plays made us struggle to find a second goal as we failed from free kicks with his Goalie being in good form and disarming them all. Before the end of first half tho Schneider reminded them why this season New Team seems to easily find the goal's way and packed a perfect assist for Hutton who ofc didn't fail taking us on 0-2 (45'). In the second half we got in Diamond (Tenma) and Denver (Yuma) to raise our pass rate and aerial potential. Our opponents seemed to continue their attempt to injury us as another yellow carded foul lead to a penalty which Ross easily converted (48'). One minute later Ross again served Schneider who confirmed that he isn't just for assists and scored the final 0-4 (49'). At that point we switched to 3-5-2 V to experiment a few things but we didn't change the score. Another yellow card for them gave us a second penalty and despite Ross being still in Stein took the shoot failing it (74').

    Scorers : J.Romer, O.Hutton, J.Ross, K.Schneider.
    MoM : J.Ross (8), New Team.

    Match's Afterthoughts and Half Season's:

    1. A rock solid defense. This season is proving more than any else that a great defense is the starting point of a good team. With 2 goals against (excluding cup) in 20 matches, and the new keeper scoring costantly 7-8, our iron wall is being effective.
2.A balanced midfield. While last season we had offensive oriented MCs and AM/MRLs, this one we balanced out our power source and the results are clear. With Matsukase Tenma (MC, 50Def, 45Att, 45Phy) and J.Romer (48Def, 52Att, 52Phy) our core is able to defend and offend at once. With the subs Diamond (47/47/47) and LeBlanc (47/47/46.6) assisting if needed.
3.A full diving AMC. We trained Tom Becker to be the passpartout for any defense. With his 38Def/58Att/58Phy this season he's at our ST's level. Vital to break solid defenses.
4.The perfect breed forward. A "King" striker able to pile up tons of goals, yet make others score, and a "Knight" one, able to feed assists at will, yet score himself; those are Oliver Hutton and Karl Heinze Schneider who seem to have matched perfectly each other. With them in good conditions, there's no defense unbreakable, not even personal trained ones (see our cup match).

CL 1/16 round, 1st leg preview - TrWaRiOrr vs Perfect Tactics

Perfect Tactics travel to Turkey in the first leg of this CL 1/16 round. Our opponents won the league and CL double last season but are struggling a bit this season, currently in 5th place and having only won one of the last 5 games. Perfect Tactics are on the back of 5 wins out of 5 and are the team in form here. Our opponents play the 3W-5-2 v and could pose a threat to us with a mix of 3*-5* players, however looking at their team, it seems as though they may be a bit too rough with the tackling so our free kicks must be accurate tonight. 7 yellow cards for their first team which means they risk suspension in the next leg. A shock is very unlikely here and Perfect Tactics will be going into the match as favourites to take the away win and end the contest in the first leg.

    To qualify:
    TrWaRiOrr: 5/1, Perfect Tactics: 4/11

    First Perfect Tactics goalscorer:
    Nascimento 8/11
    Petersen 10/11
    Pistov EVS
    Silly 6/1
    Blomqvist 7/1
    Other 13/1

    Enhanced special:
Petersen to score first and Perfect Tactics to win 4-0 - 25/1

I'll try a butterfly first, see how that turns out.

Ahhh, if you get any problems, throw on another striker and you should destroy his 1 CB.

CL 1/16 round, 1st leg - TrWaRriOrr 1-4 Perfect Tactics

    TrWaRriOrr: 42.6, 3W-5-2
    Perfect Tactics: 57.4, 3-2-2-2-1 butterfly (70' 4-2-2-2 hexagon)

He scores when he wants! Gaylord Silly he scores when he wants! What a player he is. He goes on a scoring streak then a scoring drought and now it looks like he's back on form with 3 goals in 2 games. We won this match but our opponents did give us a bit of a scare! We worked the ball nicely and forced an early corner which Silly took full advantage of and headed home for 0-1. We continued to press and our opponents were giving away free kicks. On the 25th minute, we got our 2nd free kick of the game and Petersen made it 0-2 with a wonderful strike. We looked comfortable and we cruised to 2 goal lead at half time. However things drastically changed in the 2nd half as it was our opponents who were pressing. Nafae forcing a corner from Silly and Gerrard headed in for 1-2. TrWaRriOr were fighting for the equaliser and a free kick given away by Pistov gave them a chance to score. Nafae's shot was superbly saved by the goalkeeper De Mafia and the corner coming to nothing. Somehow our opponents are dominating the play and we could not allow our lead to slip yet again. We took off Hardy and brought on Mata, with Nascimento moving to the 2nd striker spot as we were aiming for a bigger lead. It paid off as we scored 2 goals in 5 minutes, Petersen from a free kick and then Silly scored after collecting Pistov's pass and his long range drive finding the back of the net for 1-4 and the tie looks to be wrapped up now.

    Goals: Silly (9', 84'), Petersen (25', 79'), Gerrard (61')
    MOTM: Silly

So, I would probably not recommend the butterfly vs 3W-5-2 v.. But probably the hexagon. No idea how that works but it does lol!

Yeah... too much quality between the 2 teams plus the experience learned from last seasons shock exit = easy Perfect Tactics win.

Now we play Emre FC tomorrow. Look at their run in the league. Their only loss was against us so it's important to avoid defeat tomorrow. Up against an asymmetric formation, won't be easy.

I was thinking to use following formation & line-up against Orchard Utd tomorrow, what do you guys think? I could fight "fire-with-fire" and use the 4-2N-2W-2 as well, but don't know if it's to "risky"? Could start with the 3N-2W-2N-2W-1 in the 1th half, and then switch to 4-2N-2W-2 if we concede a goal or two in the 2nd half.
