I am about to finish level one. I have an avg rating of 22.2, am in the cup final and will clinch the league title tonight barring a first league loss in 17 games (15-1-0 51GF 1GA since round 8). I have a 20 man squad with all players 15-30, only 1 under a 17. (1/7* 6/6*s 4/5*s and 9/4*s with 5 of the latter 9 within a point of 5* upgrade)

I am just now reading the forums as I just winged it to this point, though I spent a lot of time doing it. I want to know how to prepare for my first off season and avoid a really tough draw next season. I gather from this that I should dump the oldest players and those who aren't going to grow?

That's it ;P I was just trying to break a forum record as the longest treble steak that i've seen is 3 in a row..
only going for CL and League in next seasons. I hope to see other managers getting 5 or more trebles by following this guide

This is quite a helpful post. I won my first league by just using counter formations and calculating rest times etc. I am planning to sell my players in the late 20's because i want to build up money to get a decent squad when I have the chance I started last season.
4.71m 31 tokens(Have bought a dc and a acm). I know its not alot but i started 31 days ago and won my first league so im happy

yes, I know what you mean. It was hard for me to sell such good players I had (and still young ones) for doing this, but, hey, the team is more important
