Road to Success - How to Win the Cup

At season lv10, after I got the double, my team ended like this - two players were sold and three low q player. The plan was to go for the treble at lv12.



In lv11, I had no hope for a good draw at the Cup, with such a high q team.
Luckily, I made it to the final 4, where the other 3 teams were lv12, with + 7* players but mine had also 6* players and with a good form.
So I played at the final and won



I also won the LEAGUE and the CH.L. , so I won another treble, learning that if you play in a 3lv above Cup, with good quality 6* players then it's not impossible.


But my moto is ,
be prepared, play tactical, get lucky
that's why I continue my preparations for the Cup of season12

End of the season and time for an update. Couldn't make it this time.
In the middle of the season I decided that I need a new challenge after getting 3 trebles so to keep up without giving the gathered sp I had and try to get the the trophies with my 5* team.
Unfortunately, I had a lot of injuries (you see I kept my low q players so I didn't have many players for rotation) and then last week had a situation where my players, one after another were loosing their form.
So, out of the CH.L. in final 8 and out of the Cup, in semi finals (at least a had a safety distance and won my league ).
I lost from that team, which finally got the Cup.




Impressive was the level of that cup after my "under-leveling"


but still the two teams of the final, were also 12lv teams, with some 6* players

Afaik, the out of contract (next season) count and I think Becks mentioned this either earlier in this thread or in another.

Otherwise you'd get a 3*, probably same level draw if you had all OOC players.

But I can't say for certain so useful to confirm.

EDIT: Since I do the Cup Q Manipulation Lite, keeping 11 1st team players with Q raised to what ever I like + the 3 Stooges (declining 1* players on the bench) this is how Cup levels have went. (Looks like I have Level 17 this Season.)




The 4 seasons prior to this I finished 3rd, 3rd, 2nd and 1st the main difference being that previously my wins were shocks (Genius) whereas latterly my losses were shocks (Trolls obviously ). >.<

yeah, I 'm not so patient to check every team ...

I 'm not sure either.
Becks saying that they count, Khris saying not to sign the contracts because cup draw counts the 3* players ...
I asked one nord-dev (two actually, but got 1 answer)

Well, I think Khris is wrong. I tend to favour the 'draw just before' theory that means they are still in contract.

I'd have expected a screeny of a full OOC team and Cup draw long before now if that was the case. If anyone knows of such then they could add it and we'd know.

But ofc I could be wrong so I might take an alt team and give them all 3 years and see.......

EDIT: I had 1 OOC and my Q was 89 and the few teams I checked ranged fro 88 to 93 so its hard to know with only a few.

OK, I have an alt team that's 4* average and will tank this Season. 6 currently 4* players will be OOC next Season, 3 will retire and 7 will be in contract. Maybe if I can push them from 47Q (4*) to over 50Q (5*) average for 14 players then 6 'unknowns' will have a significant effect? Not sure if its enough but I'll give it a try.

I'll tank on an alt team to test the draw. I've isolated the Top 14 players that produced this season's draw: that includes 5 players who will be out of contract for new Season and 3 retirals. That should bring in enough replacement players to make an impact, if there is one. (I'll make sure this 4* team becomes 5* and high enough to make a significant difference to the Q.

There is one in the OMA Group but it might not be that accurate anymore. I posted that pic so I knew where it was - whether it will be useful next season is another matter.
