    How about "Player X attempts a short pass", this message occurs a few times in a match, everytime the pass is unsuccessful but the thing is that I have passing style set on long...

    That was in the old comments "X passes short" and you are not sure if that is good or bad, and a goal will happen every now and then?

    Passing style is a preference not a restriction. They will try to pass short but may opt for the long ball.
