As y'all can see it was a very shaky start on the road but in form CM Segreste came up huge again in the first leg not only providing the equalizer but 2 mins later making it a brace with what would be the eventual winner and a 3rd critical road goal.
This puts OR in a good position coming back home but it certainly does not clinch advancement against the lvl 7 opp. After falling in this same round last season for my first and to date only 2 legged loss it is critical for morale to see the team on the the round of 32.
That is the only game on schedule today. Tomorrow is a 3 game day capped off with a late match against the only team capable of staying in the league race against me. They are only .5 points below OR on avg and are also 4-0-0 to start the season with 17/1 GF/GA compared to our 20/0.
Overall it was a good day!
Cup: Lost 2:1 but advanced on aggregate.
League: Picked up a hard fought 1:0 victory over a team that projects to finish top 4. That puts us on 9 points, good enough for 2nd on goal differential.
Probably wont see real competition til QF of cup and CL.
Cyril Toraman, captain of the squad in seasons 1 and 2 has been released due to to the signing and subsequent selling of a $2M FA. He was worth 5 times his 400k value over the 81 games he was capped. Looking to add one more CB/DMC and hoping to keep current squad intact until day 25 or so.

It was yet another fine performance by CM Christian Segreste that kicked things off as he secured another brace in the first half. Our opp got one back before half time to cut the agg lead to 2 and they just needed to rattle off 2-3 unanswered goals to come back.
There were 3 goals in a 5 min span scored by one side in the last 15 mins but it was Olympique Rouen doing the scoring as they piled on for an emphatic 5-1 victory that sends them back to the round of 32 with an 8-3 agg victory.
After 10 competitive matches this season the teams stats look like this:
Danish ST Mikkel Sorensen leads the team in all 3 major categories with 9 goals, 6 assists, and 15 produced in total. He has been on a fine run of form with an 8.2 avg rating over his past matches. Segreste's brace moves him into 2nd with 8 goals on the season. CB Dimitrijevic and LW Sebastian Rocha have also been in great form of late as the team has won each of their first 10 games this season. They have a long way to go in order to match the team record of 31 straight victories or the record 50 game unbeaten streak.
League: Bali United ZAFT bounced back from yesterday's Cup exit in the best way possible as they demolished Romania's Maria Violeta FC 7-1 at Denpasar earlier today. Aila JyrkiÀinen easily won Man of the Match with his superb hat-trick that brought his league goal tally to 5, with a Jesus Yamato brace and a goal each by Yuna Oshiro and Karin Kikuhara completing the rout. Mohamed Shams with the only resistance that the away team gave, as Bali United literally dominated their opposition today. Next up is an away match to Slovakia to face romovia fc in the CL.
