That started before about 1,5 year when the devs decided to reduce/eliminate the super domination scores (for realism).
When you played vs a very weak team or vs a tanking team (and there where a lot because of associations) the scores where 10-0 to 19-0.
So they tweak the game engine, presenting the super GKs (plus some few shots on target or 0-17% shot efficiency).
This thing affected also the "normal" games so after that, the role-dice/Luck of the game became no1 factor for the results, reducing a lot the effect of "right"/counter formations and orders.
